Recovering Creative

I live on a tiny island on the Canadian west coast with about 300 of my neighbours. I am a Red Seal chef and certified baker (retired), an artist, an amateur photographer. I write, (unpublished so hesitate to call myself A Writer) sing, and can bang out some reasonable sounding chords on a guitar. And I grow a veggie garden. Older, wiser, and armed with insights and experience, I am on a conscience pursuit of reclaiming my creative life. I see it as a career change. Next level.

    1. I appreciate the award and will do the steps in accepting it as soon as I have some time to! Been staying with my mother for the last few days to keep her company while my husband is away with work 🙂 Cheers!

      1. No worries! Take your time. It took me about 4 weeks from the first nomination for me to respond. While I was thinking about it I got another and started to stress… So silly! Take your time and take care of your mom. I spent the day with mine taking her for a doctor’s appointment and lunch.

  1. Well, hello there, my fellow insomniac! 🙂 I have landed here through blogging 201 – and what a lovely blog you have going here! So we both live on islands! That is so cool… however, mine is a little bigger. It is England, actually – haha! It is lovely to meet you out here – I look forward to reading more!

    1. And hello to you ! Thank you for visiting~ Yes my Island is quite small- only a few Kilometers long nor very wide. It harbours a lovely community of individuals though. I like to think of my neighbourhood in the way people here in Canada refer to as “gated communities” ( maybe in England too?) except as a “Moated” community.

      1. Aptly put! 🙂 Actually, gated community fits pretty well over here. Except ever single house is like a moated community, it being one’s castle and all… hahaha! Gotta love the Brits. 🙂 xx MH

  2. Hi there, found your blog through Blogging 201. I am now a new follower, feel warmly invited to my blog and maybe follow it back if you find it interesting enough. 🙂
